Departure early (the time always depends on the time of year, average 2 hours before sunrise) from the hotel towards Santana, more precisely to Achadas do Teixeira.
Upon arrival at the site, the 45-minute walk begins to the island's highest point, Pico Ruivo.
Better being prepared with really warm clothes because normally on the north side the forecast changes a lot and is really cold up there!!
